About the Company

AiRazor is a spin-off company of the National University of Singapore, and all our products are scientifically tested under controlled and extreme conditions. Independent tests have shown that AiRazor products can outperform other branded air-purifiers in the market in removing ambient PM2.5.

During the major haze that smothered Singapore in June 2013, the National University of Singapore (NUS) formed a Haze Task Force and invited its Professors to submit their ideas. Associate Professor Dr.Jeff Obbard’s ideas for controlling indoor PM2.5 particulates were selected, and he was then awarded funds to further develop his ideas.

Together with two friends who later became his partners, prototype systems were developed and tested under real haze conditions in Pekanbaru, Riau Province, Sumatra, Indonesia. The three then formed AiRazor Technologies Pte Ltd (AiRazor), a university spin-off company with the aim of providing protection against the inhalation of airborne PM2.5 particles, at reasonable cost.

Dr. Jeff Obbard is Technical Director of AiRazor and his partners are Mr. Andrew Yap (Managing Director), and Mr. Tan Keng Jin (Director). AiRazor has a Research and Development office on the NUS campus, and is headquartered in downtown Singapore. It also has affiliated offices and production centres in Taiwan and China.
